ULO images of M82: pre-supernova (above, idh) and discovery image, 2014 Jan 21 (below, sjf).

Discovered by Steve Fossey during routine student training at ULO on 2014 Jan 21, the M82 supernova is a Type Ia (thermonuclear) event, and is one of the brightest in recent years.
